Trading can be a surprisingly solitary activity.
Behind every chart, position and trading decision is a real person dealing with uncertainty, risk and the constant challenge of becoming more consistent.
That’s why we recently brought members of the Veridium trading community together in Singapore for an informal face-to-face Traders Meetup — away from the screens, charts and online discussions.
The idea was simple: good food, honest trading conversations and an opportunity to meet other traders in person.
Traders, Markets and Korean Fried Chicken
Hosted at BOKK on Upper Thomson Road, the Veridium Traders Meetup brought together traders from different backgrounds and levels of experience for an evening of conversation over Korean fried chicken.
There were no long presentations or formal seminars.
Instead, traders had the opportunity to talk openly about the things that actually matter when you're in the market: strategies, market conditions, risk management, mistakes, psychology and the lessons that come from putting real trades on.
And sometimes, those conversations are just as valuable as another trading lesson.
Why Trading Communities Matter
There is more trading information available today than ever before.
You can learn technical analysis, trading strategies and market concepts from videos, courses, books and social media. But information alone doesn't necessarily make someone a better trader.
One of the hardest parts of trading is developing a repeatable process — and sticking to it when real money and emotions are involved.
Meeting other traders creates an opportunity to compare experiences, challenge assumptions and learn how other people approach the same markets differently.
It also reminds us of something important:
There is no single way to trade successfully.
Different traders have different time horizons, strategies, risk tolerances and objectives. What matters is whether there is a disciplined process behind the decisions.
Building a Real Trading Community in Singapore
For Veridium, the meetup was also an opportunity to listen.
As we continue building the platform, conversations with traders help us understand what they value, where they struggle and what they want from a modern trading evaluation experience.
That feedback matters.
Veridium was built around a simple principle: traders should be evaluated on their actual trading performance under clear, transparent rules.
But we also want Veridium to become more than a platform where someone simply purchases a trading challenge.
We want to build a community where traders can learn, exchange ideas, improve their process and connect with other serious market participants.
Our Singapore Traders Meetup was another step in that direction.
Missed This Traders Meetup?
This won't be the last time we get together.
We plan to continue creating opportunities for traders to meet the Veridium team and fellow members of the community — both through our online sessions and future in-person trading events in Singapore.
If you're interested in trading, improving your process or simply meeting other people who spend far too much time looking at charts, we'd love to have you in the community.
Join the Veridium community and stay tuned for our next Traders Meetup.
See you at the next one.
